Holi Festival of Colours

Holi is the Hindu spring festival, an ancient religious feast day, also known as the Festival of Colours or the Festival of Love.  Participants, young and old, throw coloured powder at one another.

Unsurprisingly, given the opportunity it offers for horseplay and high jinks, it has become popular with non-Hindus too, in Bolton and in many other places across the world.

The Bolton Holi Festival in Queen’s Park in 2014 was organised by the Bolton Hindu Forum, and the Bolton Interfaith Council, along with others.
