“The Town is Alive with the Sound of Music”

The project will document the post ‘lock down’ recovery of music in the community and by doing so we can help to promote Bolton’s music scene through our website and other social media platforms.  It will cover a cross section of music genres, which will individually provide opportunities for photographing visually interesting entertainers, clothes and costumes, lighting, musical instruments, and dance sequences.

The scope of our work will include a variety of organisations including orchestras, brass bands, rock groups, street buskers, choirs, and pub entertainers, and we would capture these through documenting school concerts, music festivals, musical theatre, church concerts and other live events in the area.

There will be the opportunity to make photographs available to the participating musicians should they wish.

This book will contain more detailed information about the project and will include background and historic information about the music scene on Bolton.
